  1. The mass media is in the business of affecting how and what people think. To believe that people are able to disregard everything they perceive in the entertainment media because the scenarios presented aren't literally "true." The media impacts our understanding of the truth by how it doesn't tell the truth all the time, they go to one sorce and they think thats all they need. Sometimes the media can support sommething, but most of the time its negative toward something, or someone.

  2. Media can influence our perspective in a many ways. Such as the media can be bias and make us lean more towards a certain side of a topic. Also they get to choose what is newsworthy and what is not. The media may also leave out certain details or only one side to the topic.

  3. Media coverage shapes our perspective on issues and events in a major way. Although media is supposed to be unbiased, many reporters and media sources attempt to persuade individuals to believe in their own personal opinions. For example, Donald Trump went on TV and gave Obama an ultimatum; if he would show his college transcripts then he would donate 5 million dollars to a charity of Obama’s choice.

Media sources impact our understanding of the truth and significance of an issue by focusing attention on one subject, event, or person. If the media focuses on one thing, that single thing is thought to be a major issue even if it’s pointless. For example, Apple suing Samsung for similar features on their products may be interesting, however it has no relevance.

Media texts can be constructed to support an agenda or interpretation because many people can interpret text better than they do vocal. For example, during the presidential election, the things that the candidates say can be interpreting differently than when it is written.

  6. News media doesn't show very many good news and so its only shares with us the bad news not to mention that the biasness of the news causes us to think biasly in the same direction as they do.Media text can be contructed in almost anyway posibleto support an agenda or interpretation.
